Session variables and Netscape

I've been experimenting with sessions in PHP 4 with much success in Internet
Explorer 5. The initial cookie is set and the variables pass reliably from
page to page. But when I tried my programs in Netscape 4.7, I found that the
initial cookie was set, but that the variables did not pass from page to
page.
I know that cookies can sometimes behave differently between browser
platforms and I assume that something like that is at work here. Does anyone
have any ideas? Thanks.
