compiling problems

Hi, while compiling a quite huge extended php4 rc1 i got problem I patched / hacked to get it working : crypt.c : i don´t know why but configure did not get the correct salt length hack : //#if PHP_STD_DES_CRYPT #define PHP_MAX_SALT_LEN 2 //#endif while making an DSO built, -lpam was missing int the root Makefile (should be in $EXTRA_LIBS) after make and make install of an DSO built Apache core dumps if php4 module loads.
