Hey, all:
All of Sascha's work on the make process has me thinking. Perhaps
I am the only one thinking this, perhaps not.
I am not sure how much, for example, pear stuff changes when I
recompile php with the same configs...say, I made a really big patch and
want to test it as an apache module before I commit. Do I really need make
install to update my pear installation?
How difficult would it be to give a flag that let me disable pear
stuff during "make install"...something similar to the UNINST=1 that is
available to most CPAN modules? IS this something anyone else would be
interested in?
