To anyone who has got java running on Linux please help...
Although I can get Java working on Windows I am having a heck of a time
getting to work in Linux. Running Redhat 6.2, Apache 1.3.12, PHP4RC1, and
the Blackdown 1.2.2 RC4 version of Java.
the jdk is located in /usr/local/jdk
the java section of my php.ini looks like
[java]
java.class.path=/usr/local/lib/php_java.jar
extension_dir=/usr/local/src/php4/modules
extension=libphp_java.so
When I try running jver.php with this setup I get
Fatal error: Unable to load Java Library /lib.so in
/usr/local/apache/htdocs/jver.php on line 4
A bit of fooling around (walking though the source code, and seeing that it
probably isn't finding the java_library), so I try expressedly setting the
java.library
[java]
java.class.path=/usr/local/lib/php_java.jar
java.library=libphp_java.so
extension_dir=/usr/local/src/php4/modules
extension=libphp_java.so
the end result is that it gets a couple lines further in the source code to:
Fatal error: Unable to locate CreateJavaVM function in
/usr/local/apache/htdocs/jver.php on line 4
So, I guess I am sending to the wrong .so library? Or is it that it isn't
compiled properly?
Any help would be really appreciated,
Thanks,
