the postfix of PHP

I am using PHP3 before. So I have a lot of files named by "php3" postfix.
yesterday, I complied the RC1 with mySQL on the Apache 1.3.12.
That's fine. But when I browse a file named "php3" postfix, the browser ask me
"download it?".
Why?
I had written followed in the httpd.conf.
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3
But when I browse the files named "php" postfix, that work normally.
Did I forget some other settings ?
