new odbc_ functions / missing retrival of dec. point?

I´ve just noticed that there are a few new useful undocumented odbc- functions. Is any of this new functions capable to retrieve the decimal point info from a column. odbc_field_len just returns the field length without telling where the decimal point is. If not yet implemented and possible through SQL-Functions you should implement that before releasing PHP4, would be a very useful function. Otherwise one has to use functions from a specific database if functions are already supported in PHP (like mysql_field_type) - for example Adabas, there aren´t any special functions and the only way (I know of) to retrieve this info is to directly run a query on system tables. regards, andré
