Hello,
I have problems getting php4's JDK1.3 support to run using Win32.
That's what I did: JDK1.3 is installed in d:\jdk1.3, the 1.3 JRE in
c:\programme\javasoft\jre\1.3
JAVA_HOME is set to d:\jdk1.3;c:\programme\javasoft\jre\1.3
CLASSPATH is set to d:\jdk1.3\lib;c:\programme\javasoft\jre\1.3\lib
I copied php_java.jar into c:\php4 and php_java.dll into c:\winnt\system32
c:\winnt\php.ini contains the following entries:
extension_dir =
[java]
java.class.path=c:\php4\php_java.jar
extension=php_java.dll
When I try to launch the jver.php example file out of the archive available
at php.net, I get an error message "failed to load jvm.dll in line 4" (line
4 contains new Java(...) ). I found a jvm.dll in jre's lib\hotspot
directory. After copying this file into c:\winnt\system32, I get a new error
message: Fatal error: Unable to create Java Virtual Machine in
d:\programme\apache group\apache\htdocs\php4\java\jver.php on
line 4
