Hello, I am trying to use sapi/servlet on my Win32 system (current configuration: PHP4RC2, Apache1.3.12, Tomcat 3.1, WinNT). I followed the installation hints as closely as possible. To be exact, I did the following: CLASSPATH is set to .;d:\jdk1.1.8\lib JAVA_HOME is set to .;d:\jdk1.1.8 I copied phpsrvlet.jar into d:\jdk1.1.8\lib I then copied phpsrvlt.dll into c:\winnt\system32 - the same directory php4ts.dll is residing in I copied from the web.xml in the archive from php.net the two <servlet>..</servlet><servlet-mapping></servlet-mapping> blocks into file %TOMCAT_HOME%/webapps/examples/WEB-INF/web.xml Now, when I run the example php files from the archive (e.g. reqinfo.php), $request->method and all other methods seem to return NULL - and $request is null, as well. Maybe of importance: I launch the php file via http://localhost/php4/servlet/reqinfo.php . Trying to launch it via http://localhost:8080/servlet/reqinfo.php does not work (error 404). If I copy my php4 folder into %TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/examples, calling http://localhost:8080/examples/php4/servlet gives me a directory listing. However, clicking on a php file again results in a 404 error :-( Has anyone an idea what I could have been missing? I think I am very close to the solution - or, alternatively, what I want to accomplish is not possible at all. So has anyone ever successfully tested this - or is there any other obvious mistake I could have made? Thanks in advance, Christian
