Can't configure "--with-swf"

Hi.
I've downloaded PHP 4.0.0 and libswf (from reality.sgi.com)
When I configure --with-swf I get the following message:
checking for libswf support... yes
configure: error: Please reinstall libswf.a - I cannot find libswf.a
I've put libswf.a in /usr/lib and swf.h in /usr/include
Please tell me where sould I put these files to be found by configure?
Any ideas?
