Well you would normally use the cursor name for a positioned update or
delete if the driver supports it. ie
SELECT * from TAB FOR UPDATE
SQLGetCursorName
SQLFetch
SQLFetch
SQLFetch
DELETE WHERE CURRENT OF cursor_name
