Ok, if you create a tarball on a machine with the usual tools,
you only need a compiler on the target machine.
Procedure:
1. Check out libzend, TSRM and php4
2. Run
./buildconf' and ./configure' in php4
3. Run `make dist' in php4
Now you should have a nice distributable file in php4 called
php-<version>.tar.gz
