Hi Guys, I realise this is almost (if not) off-topic, but I'm desperate... If I compile Apache+PHP4+FreeTDS under FreeBSD 3.2, it works and runs fine... If I do the same for FreeBSD -current, it segfaults when you try to run Apache, with: #0 0x810fe4c in strncpy () #1 0x80df794 in tds_set_server (tds_login=0x6374652f, server=0x0) at login.c:57 #2 0x80dc519 in dbopen (login=0x814a27f, server=0x0) at dblib.c:398 #3 0x80fcfb9 in endpwent () #4 0x80fcd92 in getpwnam () #5 0x80cd679 in ap_uname2id (name=0x81400d3 "nobody") at util.c:1799 #6 0x80b8879 in init_config_globals (p=0x81aa00c) at http_config.c:1388 #7 0x80b8b18 in ap_read_config (p=0x81aa00c, ptemp=0x81ad00c, confname=0x81a4470 "/usr/local/etc/apache/conf/httpd.conf") at http_config.c:1466 #8 0x80c210e in main (argc=3, argv=0xbfbfdbe0) at http_main.c:4574 I'm looking for any last-ditch suggestions before I regress the server this is on back to FreeBSD 3.2... The binary compiled on 3.2 also segfaults on 4. Switching to PHP3 - it also segfaults on FreeBSD-4. Any suggestions would be gratefully received... I'm not too familiar with Apache/PHP - I can't understand why it's trying to open a database, just as apache comes up? FreeBSD 3.2 uses GCC 2.7.x, FreeBSD-Current uses egcs... (Not that I'm looking to point any fingers!:)... I've posted to the FreeBSD forums, but didn't get any replies (hence the decision to possibly regress the server to get it fixed - It's not a production box). Thanks for your time, -Karl
