Hi all!
I did some quickie ab benchmarking against a sessioned script. Since ab
doesn't quite handle cookies right, I ended up with 2K (per run) session
files.
If I mount a volume that uses reiserfs, and configure the session system
to use that as its storage location, the fifth, sixth, and more runs
stay at about constant speed. Under ext2, the time to complete the run
grows.
So, I recommend adding a note to the forthcoming documentation that heavy
sites should consider using a fast local FS that handles loads of files.
