This code at the top of the page is (or prepend) is what is required to get sessions to work with the URI_PATH method if (ereg('/([^/=]*)=([^.]*)/(.*)',GetEnv('REQUEST_URI'),$reg)) { session_name($reg[1]); session_id($reg[2]); } else { session_name("my_session_name"); } session_start(); Kick start? SO - what kick starts a session into GET mode if cookies are not supported? Any chance the query-string session-parser could have an option to parse the REQUEST_URI instead/as-well? I think that this method is worthwhile building in to PHP4 on account of it even works on sites with partially static content, and it is not shot down if a programmer forgets to add <?=sid;?> to their page.
