Much of the Zend software is finished (e.g. the optimizer), and the rest is extremely close to being finished (e.g. the script->file compiler). That's the technical side. Answering your 'when' and 'how much' questions is much trickier, since it has to do with many other questions we don't yet have answers for. Selling stuff means we have to have a company, which is one problem (we'll open one, but it may take a couple of months). The fact we're preoccupied with the PHP 4.0 Beta and can't guarantee to finish the unfinished parts in a certain time frame is another... We have no knowledge about the pricing at this time. I can tell that it won't be ten bucks and it won't be ten grand, but something in between, probably depending on whether you use it personally or commercially or commercially for 200 developers. For a single developer, I guess the range would be a couple of hundred dollars. Again, remember the way this paragraph begins - the numbers here are speculations, despite the fact I'm the one saying them...
