Compiling on Solaris 2.7 with php4.0b1 and php configure options: ./configure ... --with-informix=/opt/informix/prod I get an error as follows: gcc -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../.. -I../../libzend -I../../TSRM -I/var/baygate/www/apache/php-4.0b1/../apache_1.3.6/src/include - I/var/baygate/www/apache/php-4.0b1/../apache_.3.6/src/os/unix -I /var/baygate/www/apache/gd1.3 -I/usr/local/include -I/opt/informi x/prod/incl/esql -I../.. -I../../libzend -g -O2 -g -I/opt/i nformix/prod/incl/esql -c ifx.c ifx.ec:130: config.h: No such file or directory ifx.ec:141: php3_string.h: No such file or directory ifx.ec:197: php3_list.h: No such file or directory make[3]: *** [ifx.o] Error 1 make[3]: Leaving directory `/var/baygate/www/apache/php-4.0b1/ext/informix' make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/var/baygate/www/apache/php-4.0b1/ext' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/baygate/www/apache/php-4.0b1' make: *** [php3] Error 2 It seems to me that the configure should be able to build a Makefile capable of finding php3_string.h. Any suggestions? Thanks --pk
