thanks for the instructions on setting up isapi. It seems to work. It wasn't
obvious to me that it was both an app and a filter. But one thing doesn't make
sense to me. I've set up another dll with iis which is also a server-side
scripting language, and it works fine without setting up an isapi filter (i.e.
it works as a dll app). Does the fact that php4 has to be both an app and a
filter mean that we will have access to more direct control, like hooking
into the IIS authentication mechanism (i.e. like mod_php does with apache)?
Apache/win32 unfortunately doesn't handle dll filters, so it seems that its
most likely IIS that the filtering feature is for.
