hi,
i would love to be able to change the to-be-used compiler and
opt/debugging flags in the make line. eg:
make CC="/opt/egcs/bin/gcc" OPTIM="-g"
or:
make OPTIM="-O6"
right now it's a lot of fiddling around to change the OPTIM/CC flags
after php4 has been "configured".
as i'm not mr. autoconf i won't even try to make a change like this
myself, but what do you think?
