Apache 1.3.6 generates bad DSO modules. In PHP 3.0, it miraculously works out, but with PHP 4.0, the buggy generation method results in crashes. This will be fixed in the next released version of Apache, which should hopefully be out any day now. Zeev At 11:43 10/08/99 , Dpt. Técnico de Readysoft wrote:
Hello Everybody:
First of all excuse me for my poor english.
I downloaded and installed PHP4 , as an Apache\\\'s module.
        Apache version is 1.3.6.
        To compiled php I typed:
        ./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs
--with-config-file-path=/etc/httpd
        I added to my httpd.conf:
                LoadModule php4_module modules/libphp4.so
                AddModule mod_php4.c
                AddType application/x-httpd-php .php3
                AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps
I restarted my apache and I saw the info page (phpinfo() ), but when I tried
to see my php pages, using
                include \"file.php3\";
always I have the same problem :
The browser said \"The document contains no data\"
I can\'t understant what\'s wrong. When I use php3 all works correct, but when
I change to php4, and I tried to see a page with an include, always I have the same problem.
        Can you help me, plase.
