PHP4 Beta 2 No Compile

Hello,
I'm trying to compile PHP4 Beta 2 with PDFLIB 2.01 support and it keeps
dying on me.
I issue the command:
---------------------------------------------------
./configure --with-apxs=/usr/sbin-apxs --with-mysql --with-pdflib
It runs all the way through almost then I get the error:

checking whether to include Pdflib 2.0 support... yes
yes
checking for PDF_close in -lpdf... no
configure: error: pdflib extension requires pdflib 2.0
The PDFLIB 2.01 install went smoothly and seemed to be working correctly.
Any ideas? Does PHP4 Beta 2 only work with PDFLIB 2.0 and not PDFLIB 2.01?
If so, where can I get PDFLIB 2.0, it doesn't seem to be on the PDFLIB
homepage.
