hi there,
I was wondering what I needed to install in order to enable the mssql_
commands (which are listed in the PHP manual at www.php.net/manual). Will
installing the sybaseCT OpenClient module do the trick? I'm running PHP 4
Beta as an Apache 1.3.6 module under Red Hat Linux 6.0. I need to connect
to a SQL Server 7.0 database (which naturally resides on a separate NT
machine).
Is there any issue with PHP 4 connecting to SQL 7.0? I've read several
articles in one of the mailing list archives suggesting that it is very
difficult to get PHP 3 to connect to SQL 7.0...
Currently, when I try to run PHP scripts incorporating, for example,
mssql_connect(), the script breaks with a "fatal error: mssql_connect()
undefined" error message. I'm obviously missing something...
Thanks for any help, and sorry for the stupid questions... =(
