Who's Boris Erdmann and why is he using this beta code? Did you read the
LICENSE file?
Regardless, indirect reference to $GLOBALS isn't supposed to work; Until
yesterday, $GLOBALS didn't work at all since it wasn't yet implemented.
Update your CVS and it should work fine.
