hmmm... libsqlnet.a never got installed. It's not in the
ORACLE_HOME/lib directory, nor is it anywhere else to be
seen. I installed Oracle 8.0.5 from CD, and chose every
option except the full server and the JDBC drivers. This is
exactly what I used when I installed PHP3, and I had no
issues whatsoever. Now, with PHP4Beta2, the libsqlnet is an
issue. I have installed all three of the major necessary
patches from the Oracle site (glibcpatch, lnxpatch,
linux8051patchset).
And yes, I was using
"--activate-module=src/modules/php4/libphp4.a", that should
be correct, no?
Regarding the ociplogon... not sure. If that were the case,
then why would there be a big deal about PHP4 finally
supporting sessions? What's the difference between PHP4's
session capabilities and the persistent connection (via
ociplogon) in PHP3?
