I did get PHP4 to compile on Win98, but I am having a problem.
Every call to php.exe produces the following error:
Debug Assertion Failed!
Program: php.exe
File: dbgheap.c
Line: 1017
Expression: _BLOCK_TYPE_IS_VALID(pHead->nBlockUse)
This is when I try to run php.exe from the "command line", such as it is
in Windows.
The problem may be in that I am using the wrong key for EOF? The only one
that seems to work is ^Z...is that what I'm supposed to read?
^Z (F6) is the correct way to end the session.
Also, how can I debug why
./php.exe -f a.php3
_ALWAYS_ fails? Any ideas?
Assuming that I can either:
a) Prove these are not a result of a faulty build process
or
b) Fix them and recompile a working exe
Are you compiling the php4ts project or php4 project? Try and recompile the other kind of project, and see if you can run a script through the debugger. If it crashes it will tell you where it crashed. Project->Settings->Debug, change working dir and program arguments to the location and name of a working script.
I will submit my HOWTO.W32 for you guys to review...unless someone else
already finished this?
Sure please send it. Maybe wait until you try what I mentioned, in case, you needed to change something in your setup.
