If you use rpms, go to http://www.csluk.demon.co.uk/rpm/
and get the apache srpm and build from that.
Also get the php3/4 srpms (updated from cvs 5 minutes ago) and make and
install those.
[Edit the spec file to suit your options]
Build and install apache and apache-dev
build and install both php
then edit your /usr/lib/php.ini and /usr/lib/php3.ini and add this lines in
your httpd.conf:
LoadModule php3_module /usr/lib/apache/libphp3.so
LoadModule php4_module /usr/lib/apache/libphp4.so
and
AddModule mod_php3.c
AddModule mod_php4.c
<IfModule mod_php3.c>
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .phtml
AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3
#AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .asp
#AddType application/x-httpd-php3-source .phps
</IfModule>
<IfModule mod_php4.c>
# for php4
AddType application/x-httpd-php .phtml
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php4
AddType application/x-httpd-php .php
AddType application/x-httpd-php .asp
AddType application/x-httpd-php-source .phps
</IfModule>
and whatever else you like.
BTW the rpms also install /usr/bin/php and /usr/bin/php3 as cgi's which you
can get with:
AddType php-script3 .phpx3
AddType php-script .phpx
Action php-script3 /cgi-bin/php3
Action php-script /cgi-bin/php
[warning, the php .spec file relies on my copy of the apache rpm still
existing in the build dir, and on being built afterwards - so it can get the
xpat-lite from it::: Just build and install apache first, then the php and
you will be fine]
