Hi,
I was in an approach to make a link-checker for my site..
When I tried to use fopen wrappers, it worked only on some
sites... there were a few of them working under netscape but
not via fopen wrappers. e.g. www.tucows.com
When I send GET / HTTP/1.0, Host:... request to tucows, it
replies with HTTP/stoneage response (no header, data are
passed directly). looks like this:
[19:05:44 root@riffraff ~]# telnet www.tucows.com 80
Trying 207.136.100.4...
Connected to www.tucows.com.
Escape character is '^]'.
GET / HTTP/1.0
Host: www.tucows.com
<html>
<head>
<title>TUCOWS NETWORK
</title>
<script LANGUAGE='JavaScript1.1'>
<!--
function Is ()
{ var agt=navigator.userAgent.toLowerCase()
this.major = parseInt(navigator.appVersion)
I'd make the appropriate change to fopen-wrappers (the check
for HTTP/ at the beginning of the response) but wanned to
consult it first... I tried to request a nonexstient page
out of tucows and it replies with ordinary HTTP/1.1
response.
