Hi, I have installed Mandrake Linux 6.1 (with pgcc-1.1.3), and now I can not build the php4 (latest cvs) as an apache module (cgi is OK). I think it is because of library extension set to .sa. I could compile it on RedHat 6.0. The last line after "make" is # /bin/sh ./libtool --silent --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -O2 -o libphp4.la -rpath /usr/src/RPM/BUILD/php4/libs -avoid-version -R /usr/lib/mysql main.lo internal_functions.lo snprintf.lo php3_sprintf.lo configuration-parser.lo configuration-scanner.lo request_info.lo safe_mode.lo fopen-wrappers.lo php3_realpath.lo alloca.lo output.lo php_ini.lo SAPI.lo rfc1867.lo dlist.lo php_content_types.lo strlcpy.lo strlcat.lo libzend/libzend.la sapi/apache/libphpsapi_apache.la regex/libregex.la ext/apache/libphpext_apache.la ext/db/libphpext_db.la ext/ldap/libphpext_ldap.la ext/mysql/libphpext_mysql.la ext/pcre/libphpext_pcre.la ext/session/libphpext_session.la ext/standard/libphpext_standard.la ext/xml/libphpext_xml.la -ldl -lm -lresolv -I/usr/include -L/usr/lib -lnsl -lcrypt -lgdbm -lldap -llber -L/usr/lib/mysql -lmysqlclient -lpam Configure was EXTRA_LIBS="-I/usr/include -L/usr/lib" sh ./configure --prefix=/usr \ --without-gd \ --with-apxs=/usr/sbin/apxs \ --with-config-file-path=/usr/lib \ --with-mysql=/usr \ --with-xml \ --disable-debug \ --with-ldap=/usr \ --with-system-regex There is a file libphp4.la in the php4 directory, it begins with: ------------------------------------------------- # libphp4.la - a libtool library file # Generated by ltmain.sh - GNU libtool 1.3.3 (1.385.2.181 1999/07/02 15:49:11) # # Please DO NOT delete this file! # It is necessary for linking the library. # The name that we can dlopen(3). dlname='' # Names of this library. library_names='libphp4.so libphp4.so libphp4.so' -------------------------------------------------- So there is no error while linking, but there is no library resulting in linking. Any hints how can I get the apache module compiled? Michal -- _/ _/ _/_/_/ ----- Michal Kolodziejczyk, miko@wp.pl ----- _/ _/ _/ _/ _/ Wirtualna Polska S.A. http://www.wp.pl _/_/_/_/ _/_/_/ ul.
