Documentation question/suggestion

One question, one suggestion... Question: How different is php4 from php3, in terms of how stuff is written? Is there a seperare set of documentation that I'm too dense to find, or is it part of http://www.php.net/manual/ ? Suggestion (Assuming it's not already done,and I've just missed it): A tar.gz available for download of the source of http://www.php.net/manual/, including the comments code..... (if not the comments that have already been entered). Personally, I'd like to have such a complete documentation/reference close at hand, and be able to add my own comments to it.... (If this is something that hasn't been done, due to a lack of time, I'm more than willing to handle it....)
