I am compiling PHP4 on my OpenBSD box and I recieve the following error
doing a make:
zend_extensions.c: In function `zend_load_extension':
zend_extensions.c:50: `RTLD_NOW' undeclared (first use in this function)
zend_extensions.c:50: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
zend_extensions.c:50: for each function it appears in.)
RTLD_NOW is used by zend_load_extension in a dlopen() call. From the
OpenBSD man page on dlopen():
"The second argument currently has no effect, but should be set to DL_LAZY
for future compatibility."
Therefore the second parameter, at least on OpenBSD machines, needs to be
DL_LAZY. Perhpaps some code like this:
# if !defined(RTLD_NOW) && defined(DL_LAZY)
# define RTLD_NOW DL_LAZY
# endif
in zend_config.h.in. This of course must come AFTER the line:
# if !define(RTLD_NOW) && defined(DL_LAZY)
# define RTLD_NOW DL_NOW
# endif
Just tested this on my OpenBSD machine and it seems to have worked (at least
I didn't get the error...:-)
