Hi folks,
I'm trying to build PHP 4.0b2 with Apache 1.3.9 and Sybase-CT support. I
specified that I wanted to build Sybase support when I ran ./configure.
My ./configure looked like this...
./configure \
--with-apache=/home/LHM/apache_1.3.9 \
--with-config-file-path=/home/LHM/apache_1.3.9/conf \
--enable-track-vars \
--without-gd \
--with-sybase-ct=/usr/local/sybase
I had removed config.cache before running the configure command. I
isolated this from the output of the configure command.
checking for Sybase support... no
checking for Sybase-CT support... yes
and
creating ext/sybase/Makefile
I then went ahead with "make install", and this produced no complaints. I
then re-compiled Apache 1.3.9, and I got PHP support, but every time I
include a sybase_connect() function in one of my scripts, I get a
"Document Contains no Data" message from the browser, which seems to
indicate that Sybase support isn't there. I checked a phpinfo() page, and
saw nothing about Sybase support listed there.
Any quick pointers on something I may have done wrong? Do you need more
information (probably), and if so, what? I'm far from expert at building
software due to very limited C experience, so I apologize if any of my
questions are ignorant.
Thanks,
Eric
