Hello-
I just grabbed the latest version of PHP4 from CVS and for some reason can't seem to get dbm support to work correctly. I'm installing on a FreeBSD 3.3 machine and am using the following configuration:
configure --with-track-vars --with-gdbm=/usr/local
I have verified that "gdbm" is installed correctly in the "/usr/local/lib" directory. When I run the configure, these are the lines related to dbm support from the script:
checking for gdbm_open in -lgdbm... no
checking for dbm_open in -ldb... no
checking for dbm_open in -lc... yes
checking preferred dbm library... ndbm chosen
checking for gdbm_open in -lgdbm... yes
checking for GDBM support... yes
The other 4 return "checking for * support... no". After that's done, I compile, install and everything looks good. However, when I try to use a "dbmopen" in a script I get a "Call to undefined function: dbmopen()" fatal error.
Any clues why this isn't working correctly?
Thanks for your help,
