Hello
It seems that I have come across a rather serious problem with PHP 4.0 B2/B3
which seems to cause the Apache's Main Process to die.
The software config of the server is: FreeBSD 3.3, Apache 1.3.9 Running PHP
4.0 B3 (use to run apache 1.3.6 with php 4.0 B2, and same problem occured).
Basically the problem is this that Apache's main process dies leaving all of
the
remaining children in sbwait state effectively stopping apache from serving
any
pages until HTTPD is restarted. At the same moment the main process died my
PHP error log has registered the following error message (it is the only
error
message in the log since it was cleared 2 days ago):
PHP Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in [no
active file] on line 0
As you can see there is no reference to a php script, proper line number or
even a timestamp which makes this problem impossible to isolate. My question
is if anyone has encountered a similar problem before and has remedies for
it or atleast knows how to track this problem.
Ilia
