Hi, I just got a fresh CVS tree of PHP4 and used the following configure
command. I have a P-II 400 with 128MB RAM running RH 6.0/Linux 2.2.12
./configure --with-apache=../apache_1.3.9 \
--with-mysql=/usr/local/site/mysql --enable-track-vars \
-enable-magic-quotes --with-db2=/usr/local/site/BerkeleyDB \
--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/site/ \
--with-ldap=/usr/local/site/ldap \
--with-gnu-ld --disable-debug
Compiling zend_execute takes a long time and if I have netscape running,
I get an error message saying "virtual memory exhausted". Killing
netscape and running make again makes it go through modulo the long
compile time.
Am I doing something wrong or is there some stange interaction with
zend_execute.c and egcs 1.1.2. I am going to compile gcc-2.95.2 and see
if I get similar results
Regards, Yusuf
