I tried various setups :
sendmail_path = /usr/sbin/sendmail -t
phpinfo() reports /usr/sbin/sendmail -t
sendmail_path = "/usr/sbin/sendmail -t"
phpinfo() reports /usr/sbin/sendmail -t
sendmail_path =
phpinfo() reports no value
[no sendmail_path line]
phpinfo() reports /usr/sbin/sendmail -t
But none of these actually sent a mail (and the following script always
reported "mailok").
My mail.phtml script follows :
<?
if (mail("cahagn_o@epita.fr", "My Subject", "Line"))
{
echo mailok;
}
else
{
echo mailnotok;
}
phpinfo();
?>
This is PHP 4.0b2 running in module version with engine set to off and
only set to on in the httpd.conf for <Directory [RootDirectory]>.
(I also tried with engine on all the time)
safe_mode is also off.
This also seems to happen with PHP 3.0.12 running as CGI (via suEXEC).
