There are a couple of recent annotations from tojo@perceptive.se regarding
problems with registering session variables:

I've been having similar problems, so I looked at session.c and didn't see
anyplace that a path was getting set for the session cookie. This would
cause session cookies to only be readable in and underneath the directory in
which they were instantiated. Am I wrong, or is this by design?
