Run the Apache configure after exporting VERBOSE=yes in your environment: VERBOSE=yes export VERBOSE ./configure etc... This will give you the output from the "src/helpers/TestCompile" script that failed. It will be some library or other that is missing in your "EXTRA_LIBS" environment variable.
