dump of attributes, methods of class

Hi, I have been having problems implementing an extension in php4 containing functions which create a object. The object has several attributes and methods. I wonder if this is a problem of zend or my implementation in ext/domxml. What I find strange is the fact that the $dom->root() works though the implentation of the class in $dom (domxml_doc_class) is very similar to the class in $rootnode (domxml_node_class). How could I possible debug this? Maybe somebody with a better understanding of this could have a look at ext/domxml/domxml.c.
