when i use 'require', 'include', or 'use' it will not close the open
files
when its finished.. you can see this with the lsof command (/usr/sbin)..
when i try a virutal, it will close itself properly - and the other open
files from require, include, or use..
for example.. the lsof of http (with a wc) is at 375.. when we make a simple
page with 'include', 'require', or 'use' it will increment by 1 on
each load
of the page (due to it opening 1 extra file).. now, back at 375, when we use
a 'virtual' include, it closes itself, and drops the number down to 343..
one refresh later and its 282.. another refresh and its 249..
since our includes have an extension of .inc, we can see that by the list of
lsof ONLY the .inc files remain open.. not the .php files that called them..
yes, i have .inc set in httpd.conf.. it still does the same thing with or
without it.
yes, i have also tried .php for an include.. still the same results.
as i said before, this has only happend with us with beta4cvs.. the other
betas dont have this problem..
i dont know if this is a problem with php, or our setup.. but for a
temporary solution we will use a 'virtual' include to close the open pages
left by our 'include' includes..
