| by libtool, if shared libraries are built.
Hm, you're right. I'll back out those patches for now, but we need to
solve this to un-break --with-xxx=shared. Adding an AC_SUBST'ed variable
for each extension that is set to "-DCOMPILE_DL=1" within each extension
is a possibility, although not very clean.
