Thanks to all that have replied so far - here is the output that is
generated from the Make process:
gcc: Internal compiler error : program cc1 got fatal signal 7
make[2]: *** [zend_execute.lo] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all_recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all_recursive-am] Error 2

Done on RedHat 6.0 with Apache 1.3.9 and MySQL 3.22.27 - I did not do
anything out of the ordinary. Extracted the source for Apache, MySQL and
PHP4B3 into /tmp. The ./Configure on PHP4 worked fine - the process
completed without any errors but the above error came up after doing the
Make (it was busy for a while before it stopped with the error.
