I noticed that the mysql functions use the old deprecated interface to determine some field types (e.g. enum) which makes it impossible to distinguish enums from sets. Do you think changing this would break too much existing code? I.e. do you think returning 'set' instead of 'enum' would be harmful? The proper way to go would be to change mysql_field_type() to return these additional types but mysql_field_flags would be convenient since it could just add the new types (a set would have the flags 'enum' as well as 'set'). It is a dirty hack but could be more compatible. If we can settle on a way to do it and noone objects I'll implement the new functionality... (BTW: Does anyone know right away when MySQL extended enum_field_types?) - Chris -- Chris Schneider, mailto:cschneid@relog.ch Computers are not intelligent. They only think they are.
