Anyone know what the status is on Apache 2, eg current stability on Linux, what new features it'll have, ETA, etc?In any case, I think the main design change is that Apache 2 will be multi-process & multi-threaded. This will allow it to keep the stability of not dying completely if one process dies but will enjoy the performance boost of multi-threaded servers. So we're lucky PHP 4 is multi-threaded because PHP 3 will probably be a no-no on Apache 2 although there probably will be an option not to run multi-threaded.
