Compile time error using --with-oci8

I am recompiling my beta release to include the oci*() functions and I got this error: #define PHP_OCI_INIT_MODE OCI_DEFAULT --------^ cc: Error: oci8.c, line 404: In this statement, "PHP_OCI_INIT_MODE" is not decla red. I am switching to the gcc to see if that helps, but I have been able to compile php using the native Alpha Digital Unix compiler before. Any ideas why I might get this error? Thanks, David P.S.
