I am configuring beta3 with --with-gdbm, and I just installed gdbm-8.0.
After I compile apache-1.3.9 (and add -lgdbm to src/Makefile), I get
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: dbmopen()
If I try to use the generic dba_open(..., "gdbm"), I get:
Warning: driver initialization failed
gdbm is certainly getting linked in (if I remove -lgdb from apache's
Makefile, I get link errors), so I can't figure out what the problem is.
There's a similar question on the php list from 11/10/99, but no
responses.
