I have a need to talk to DB2 on an IBM mainframe from a Solaris
box. I seems in theory this is possible buy putting the Solaris
DB2 ODBC libs and headers on the box and compiling appropriately.
I'm guessing the Unix-Unix version of this works fine, but mainframe
are a different beast entirely.
Has anyone tried this? Does it work? Reliably?
Any experiences or even anecdotes welcome.
