File desriptors

Hello, I'm chasing file desriptors since my system use lots of them. I just wonder if i could reduce the amount of fd's used per request if i put most php code in one big file instead of having smaller chunks of code in several files and <? include "smallfile.inc" ?> each of them? What i was thinking was that maybe php dont release a fd for an included file until everything is parsed?
