php & gd & ttf

hi I am trying to install php using the following files: apache_1.3.9.tar.gz freetype-1_3_1.tar.gz gd-1.7.3.tar.gz php4.0b3.tar.gz further I have an older versions of gd because at first I wanted to include gif support cause I did not know it was allready possible to include a get from image with pgn: gd1_5_tar.gz The problem is when I try to compile php it says: checking whether to include GD support... yes (static) checking for gdImageString16 in -lgd... yes checking for gdImageColorResolve in -lgd... yes checking for gdImageCreateFromPng in -lgd... yes checking whether to include ttf support... no checking whether to enable 4bit antialias hack with FreeType2... no checking whether to include GNU gettext support... no and I compile with both the options: --with-gd --with-ttf Is it possible that I miss a file somewhere?
