Interestingly it does put the sid in the method, however there must be something about the get protocol that I don't know about, because IE and Netscape remove that part of the URL when they perform the get. Therefore, you're suggested fix doesn't work, you have to do something like this: <INPUT TYPE=hidden name=sid value=" . session_id(). "> in order for it to work. This is for GET forms only though!
