a little cvs help please

I cut and paste from the http://www.php.net/version4/cvs.php and get this every time: cvs -d :pserver:cvsread@cvs.zend.com:/repository co Zend TSRM cvs server: cannot open /root/.cvsignore: Permission denied cvs [server aborted]: can't chdir(/root): Permission denied I'm using RH 6.1, and logged in as a regular user, then tried as root, but no joy..... I am able to get the php source from that repository. I made the ~/.cvsrc file that it wanted. Any ideas? thanks, Al
