Memory problem !!

Hi, I've a problem with php4 module in httpd When I start it, the httpd takes RAM memory till 8Mb free, so it's using almost 250 mb of memory. I've a Linux RedHat 6.0 running on a Pentium III 450 Mhz with 256 Mb Ram apache 1.3.9 PHP 4 beta 3 Any clue about the problem? I''m using sessions features from php4. Could it be this to be the problem? Is there any kind of memory leak about php sessions? I'm adding additional info about my system. Regards.
